We are in a holding pattern right now due to Covid burnout. Because of the pandemic, we lost most of our students, so we gave up our space and are currently looking into putting up a structure where we might work out.
Board holders are hard to find, even on the internet. Here is an inexpensive model, $70. It is quickly adaptable to various sized boards, can be easily adjusted for height with one hand, and can be held by one person, even a child, while someone practices breaking boards. All students brown stripe and above may compete in breaking competition at tournaments. Choose your wood carefully, looking for dry boards without pitch or knots. Go to a local lumber store and purchase a 12" wide shelf board of any length, cutting this board into 8" lengths. See the photo: The top board in the photo is fairly hard, but the bottom board is ideal. Note how the grain runs horizontally across the board, with a fair distance between the lines.
