Practice Your Form

Each traditional martial arts style has its own patterns (also called forms or hyungs in our style), which teach fighting reflexes in a more dynamic way than blocking and striking drills alone. Below, find videos of the hyungs: eventually, I hope to get them all up here. If there is no link, I don't have a video for that form yet. This PAGE has videos that are very similar to our style but not exact.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Some Taekwondo styles practice the sine wave (a distinctive up/down movement). Our grandmaster, who worked with General Choi (credited with leading the team that developed TKD), decided against teaching sine wave because he felt it was unnecessary movement. Note that this does not mean other styles are wrong; don't fall into the trap of believing that only your way, or your teacher's way, is the only right way. As people are diverse, so too are beliefs and art forms.
